Update? There's nothing to update. anyway am I the only one who picked up on the rather aggressive tone of it? The Board of STFC would like to categorically state that there is no truth whatsoever in reports published in today's Western Daily Press that names Simon Arber as a potential investor in the football club.
Mr Arber's name was first linked to the club on various internet forums and has been repeated by the Western Daily Press without any clarification or confirmation from the club.
This is not the first time that statements that have started life as pure rumour or conjecture on websites have been repeated by the media.
Today's report is misleading to Swindon Town supporters and the club will advise fans of any update with regards to potential investment via the club's official website when appropriate. oooh you're in trouble RobT!

Brace yourself for a "talks have broken down due to rumour-mongering so-called fans" statement in the very near future. Soooo obvious you tossers!

there'd be alot less rumour-mongering and speculation if the club were transparent about how things are run, the ins and outs of the club, than this current shroud of bullshit that perpetually spews forth from the OS, and soon to spill out of their new bestest-buddies ever, Brunel FM...

I think we can expect one soon saying all these rumours from the fans has led to the potential investor pulling out of talks..........not that the investor ever really existed in the first place.

The journo who wrote that piece is pretty professional (certainly compared to some of those slating him) and there's no way he'd have written it solely based on stuff on internet forums. That might have been where they first got the name from, but he'll have had something more solid to back it up with. Are they intent on starting some kind of war with all the local media?

I note on the TISTFC forum that anybody who disagrees with the Board are now called Paul Davis ass lickers - there's enough of us Paul, how's it feel all this licking, Fatbury been there yet? :arsekisser:

The club don't ant to admit it in case someone asks him outright if he's going to invest and he says no

Meh. If the club don't want questions and speculation they should remind their CVA supervisor to keep quiet until a deal is done.
