Is the hon. Gentleman saying that the Labour party approves of the demotion of Swindon Town from the first to the third division?

Mr. Barnes : As a Sunderland supporter, I certainly approve. I hope that the football league will act correctly and say that Sunderland should be promoted to the vacated position

 I don't think the Hon Gentleman is saying this at all, but at least they were aware of an issue to discuss...I'm unsure that Simple Simon Coombes (Consevative).....ever quite worked out which constituency he failed to represent.
