We are off to corfu this year. I went two years ago (Kavos). Drinks were piss-take cheap (one bar - 5 euros, all the shots we could handle). The holiday was amazing, except waking up in the middle of the street in my boxers one morning.... or waking up in a club with a rep pissing in my open mouth... :| This year it's Bulgaria.... 50p a pint, c'mon!!

The mrs has always wanted to go to NYC. and because of the exchange rate it seems an ideal time to go. But it will be in August.
Ralphy, is that part of the canaries? I'd sit tight. Some point soon a company called Zoom is going to do one way flights to NYC for £169, Ryan Air is also to start doing it soon and they are claiming they may be able t do it for under £10!

plus you'd have to pay for each item of baggage, and for everything you eat and drink, and you'd probably end up watching very shit films (if any at all). it's worth paying a bit more for the long haul - i got to watch a pre-release "sideways" when i went to thailand.
last summer the holiday companies had loads of holiday packages left unsold (mostly because of threats of terrorism, war, and low consumer confidence. also; hot uk summer) which meant they had to shift them very cheaply as last minute deals. this time around they've bought far less holiday packages to reduce their risk, which means there are unlikely to be so many great deals this summer.
if you really fancy something in particular then i'd book it asap before it's gone.

Tell me about it, i WAS going to go to NYC this year, but being a bit reluctant to spend proper sums of money to go to a city where i'll get told off for smoking and have fat people in my face doesn't sit well with me! I'll wait till i can travel pikey rates and then stay in a suite at the Waldorf pretending i have more than 20p in the bank. Could be a good Return on Investment. :shag:

Isles of Scilly are great - Ales of Scilly , lovely beaches and no Poxford fans - and the locals are friendly
