Sounds like an excellent night. I would have loved to have been able to go. The Macari years, they were special times. Ooooh, I'm getting all emotional just thinking about it I love idea of a Macari XI v a Hoddle XI. There's a fair bit of overlap though. I can see them fighting over who gets Digby

I'm so looking forward to the raffle I would absolutely love a night out on the piss with, say, Digby, King, Bodin and Tom Jones (who I think is still local). I bet they are all really sound lads.

His dad played for the club, stayed in the area and now he supports them. Brilliant. It's a real shame we released Leigh Henry and David Stroud. You can't keep players just because of their dads obviously. But it's nice to have a bit of continuity and tradition in a game where there is so little loyalty. I think I might be rambling

Fuckin great night...apart from the cabbie trying to charge me £16.00 for the fare back to the village inn..cunt. He was a seikh(sp) so i told him he would need a proper bandage for his head if he persisted(£5.oo for carrying large items my arse) Paid him £12.00 in the end which i still thought was a rip off. Got home, polished off a bottle of white, then fell asleep reminising over the good old days. Im not sure that Lou took any money for the night either. Well done Mr.Wardell....hope your gonna do another one some time soon. Millom

I have to admit it's a bit wierd knowing you are helping corrupt the 15 year old son of an ex Town player by getting him drunk. We tried to get him to order a round at the CGH yesterday.
