Its a sad world we are living in that losing a sports match results in death whether it be murder or suicide.

the story i've heard is that IF he was done over it was not because of the ireland result but because he was set to unearth the corruptness of subcontinental cricket and the match fixing that still riddles, in a book after the world cup. the ireland game just presented an opportune moment

It looks like its for more than just losing though. It seems gambling could be involved. The Pakistan cricket team has always been a bit dodgy in my opinion with match fixing and betting scams. I think his death has more to do with this. Its shocking in my opinion and something needs to be done to stop this happening again!

Worse thing is, all the evidence will be gone now as it was never treated as a murder scene at the beginning. Plus, if he was strangled surely there would have been marks on his neck? Unless the force was used

1) what evidence would there be?
2) there was bruising to his neck, hence why they were treating the case as 'suspicious' until it was confirmed by the post-mortem
