It's like football betting only with more outcomes!!!!

I get the basics of betting I just have no idea about form, ground, riders (McCoy aside).  Just pick one with decent odds and be lucky.  Failing that copy Yeovil's tips.

Its a bit like Fantasy Football management (like the Sun newspaper, telegraph and premier league websites do)......

If you know enough about how good they can be, how they are performing at present and the likelihood of them performing well under certain conditions, then you back them....as with fantasy football, you pick your team on the knowledge you have of how they will play throughout the season....there is no guarantee, like with racing, but you an only bet based on the form and your prediction.

At the end of the day, just like in football cup competitions, anyone can win on the day, so there is an eliment of luck that goes with all sport.....but in racing, the trick is to study the horses and their form etc, so as to be making the best possible guess at the time.....but there are never guarantees.

Ascot is always an easy buck or two......Especially with favourites day normally going to form......its the best day for an acumilator (although I was pipped last year....still annoys me.....little tip - NEVER change your mind, your first decision is normally the best one!!!!)

Exactly. Don't understand the ground, form, etc....why can't it just be simple!

It's easy really.

Different horses favour different ground, whether it's good or soft etc.

Form is just looking at how the horse has ran previously, like where it finished in it's last few races.

So you just need choose one that suits the ground and is in reasonably good form. Easy.
