folky malarkey. Hence the 'interesting' venues.  I could easily dress up in a cassock and nick the collection from my current vantage point.

Saw some great stuff at Latitude.

Music:

- Tom Jones (very, very religious and refused to play any old stuff)
- The Kissaway Trail
- James (annoying, ran over which meant the Maccabees had a shorter set)
- The Maccabees
- Crystal Castles (fucking mental. lead singer, a girl, necked loads of whiskey and had a few fist fights with the crowd)
- The XX (bit slow)
- Gentleman's Dub Club (amazing find. live dub band from leeds)
- Jamie Lidell (another great discovery. awesome soul singer and band)
- Rodrigo y Gabriela (boring)
- Vampire Weekend (headlined well)

Comedy:

Doc Brown (best of the lot, youtube his stuff)
Stephen K Amos
Kevin Bridges
Mickey Flannagan (highly recommended)
Angelos Epithemiou (bizarre, i'm a big fan but don't think it quite worked though other people enjoyed it)
Rufas Hound
Richard Herring

In something of a break from the norm for me musically I'm going to the High Voltage festival on Sunday at Victoria Park in Loondoon, featuring amongst others and in no particular order ELP, Ian Hunter, Joe Bonamassa, Bachman - Turner (sadly no overdrive), UFO, Marillion, Argent, Uriah Heep and many other by all accounts. Proper Old Gits show !!! Can't wait!

Every single song was about God / Jesus / redemption / heaven / hell.

Incredible voice though.

If I bump into you I will be asking your opinion on Greers departure and as it stands your starting eleven selection for the Brighton game ! So be prepared, at least it may cut out some of the boredom ?

Post High Voltage festival and found it better than anticipated. Enjoyed ELP,Wishbone Ash and Bachman Turner and particularly was blown away by Joe Bonamassa of which I hadn't heard much of before, shit this bloke can play guitar! Sorry gknash your description of yourself fitted about 10,000 of however many were there, it would have been like finding a needle in a.....well.. field full of needles !

I actually quite like Mumford and sons.  However I now have a problem with them as I've noticed that Marcus Mumford looks incredibly like David Cameron.  And even if he doesnt look like David Cameron its in my head that he does.

I now can't look at him without wanting to punch him in his big shiny forehead.

David Cameron looks like a model of C3PO carved from slightly sweaty Spam.
