With the combined event knowlege of gk and mex we (them two) should organise a TEF Free Party in a field somewhere. Like a normal free party but without all that drum and bass bollocks. We'd never agree on the music though, so maybe scrap that part and just sit in a field taking drugs. Bonfire is a must.

Saw the Script in Brum last night, thought they were pretty damn good live!  Great voice.

They need to sort the air con out in that O2 Academy though as hot was an understatement, worse than the Oasis!

Yeah it is!  Good venue, and good view but my god i've never known a place to get so hot before the main act hadn't even come on!

It was alright stood towards the side. Easy access to the bar helped with cooling Smiley

if you're into them, you'll probably have seen that Mott the Hoople are having a reunion for 5 appearances at the Hammersmith Apollo, 1-5 October - not the greatest of albums, but always experimenting and a cult band due to their "live" performances

Arriba, who regretted his vocalist's might thread at my choice of singers, might lose all will to live when I point out that Freddie Mercury's Queen was a support band for Mott the Hoople once.

A bit like so many of our Saturday afternoons - but there's hope yet on both counts...
