I got a ticket for Blur at the Newcastle Academy in late June. It's a warm-up for their Hyde Park and Glastonbury shows.

Anyone seen them before?

I saw a good few bands at the Corn Exchange, but my recall is of some before 70, as well as a few around 70. The stand out being the Bonzos...which I'd have down as possibly 68.

I'm not very good with years...having seen a lot of them, they tend to blur.  The other thing that sticks, is we always used to go in a pub called the Dolphin, as it was just about the only boozer in the Vize, which didn't sell Waddys, as spotty teenagers tend not to like ale.

Coming and going between the Vize on a scooter in winter, was an interesting experience.

I do like the journey...40 years ago though it was a whole lot emptier, you could have Avebury, pretty much to yourself.
