Just back from a jaunt in London and caught the legendary Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.

Wasn’t sure what to expect as they’re all cracking on a bit but by Christ they were fucking awesome.  Classic soul/motown at it’s very best and I highly recommend going to see them if you get the chance.

Charlatans a few days before and they were pretty good.  Nothing to crack one off about but a good night had by all.

Has anyone seen Ryan Adams & The Cardinals live? They're playing Newcastle in November and I am quite tempted.

Is it true that Ryan Adams in the past has banned venues he is playing at from selling booze?

He wasn't very happy that there were meat products at the O2Wireless festival either! His reaction on stage to the wafting odour of burgers and sausages went something like 'Smell the death, breath it into your lungs'.Good old Moz  Cheesy

Frinds of mine worked that gig.  Apparently it was very much in the balance as to whether he was going to play or not.  Bless him.

Going to book up Sigur Ros, Porcupine Tree and Mogwai for October, Probably Supergrass and The Streets in November. Going to see Elbow in London after the Huddersfield game.
