Just nonsense on my part, although we did come across Martin Ace from the Man Band crossing a bridge at Glastonbury Festival in the mid-80's. I trust that does not make things clearer.

Ah, right...it all becomes clear...many thanks 😊
Scarbados I assume is the Scarborough Open Air Theatre....had tickets to for Tears for Fears there a couple of years ago but Kurt Smith broke his ribs somehow so it was cancelled...seen the Human League a couple of times in the last few years, they're superb in my opinion...

UB40 are the only band there I would even cross the street to see live TBH.

Talking of gig, I saw 5 mins of Charli XCX at Glastonbury last night.
OMFG she was absolutely attrocious miming and obviously singing through a vocoder as it was accidently left on during her talking to the audience.
If that is what a Grammy winner has to do to win awards now then the music industry are fucked.

My favourite quote I've seen is someone moaning Neil Young was boring and didn't have very good "production values".
Now I appreciate his music is not for everyone, fair enough
But you are stood in a fucking field in Pilton, not at the London Palladium.

Blossoms and Rag n Bone Man are pretty damn good live. I think those performers actually work better in smaller venues and acoustic sets though. Likewise with UB40. No chance of Blossoms doing too many smaller venues now. Very glad I saw them in Rough Trade Notts, about twelve years ago, right before they went relatively big. Performed a 45min set in front of about 50 people, then signed and chatted afterwards. Legitimately tip top lads as well. Yeah. Ive got a stint up there and halifax piece hall doing Train, Busted, Script, UB40, Simple Minds, Blossoms, Rag n Bone Man and Mcfly. Then take the rest of the summer off.
Nice. Love the Piece Hall. A few mates worked on Secret Invasion when they were filming there {it doubled as Red Square}. Danny from McFly is a good lad, not sure if you've worked with him previously at all?

I first did Rag N Bone man at a venue called start the bus in Bristol. Frankly he hardly fitted on stage let alone his band. He's done Scarborough with me before. Very pleasant bunch. UB40 for some reason bring out the worst fans. Im hoping the traveller following the somehow have dont make it to the monte carlo of the north.
I might be missing ot of the day with Blossom as I have an appointment to have bloods taken first thing in Bath ahead of a knee replacement the following Monday. So Im unlikely to get there until 3ish. Imm. sure it will be lovely.
Never done Mcfly before but Im sure they are lovely.

Great band! I met the lead singer, Orlando, outside Oxford Town Hall before their gig there about 10 years ago. Lovely, polite chap. My friend also went on a countryside walk a few years ago, and his friend brought along a couple of other people. Towards the end of the walk my mate asked one of them what he did and was very surprised to hear that he was the lead singer of the Maccabees. He's a fan but didn't realise at all until told.

Oasis on Friday, class support in Richard Ashcroft. Not sure I’ll make the last train home though. Curfew at 22:30 and last train via Swindon 23:25. Cardiff notorious for its queuing post events.
