Echo and the Bunnymen in London tonight.

Unintelligible scouser alert.

They have reworked a lot of the old classics very well.

Interestingly, last time I saw them was on the day of PB's appointment. Now, again on the eve of a pivotal clash with his predecessor.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Definitely my favourite band of all time - first saw them in 84, Mrs Chunkyhair first saw them in 82! I climbed onto the stage when they played Glastonbury in 85 to be un-ceremoniously escorted off and ending up back at my position front and centre 5 mins later.  Probably saw them when you saw them Bob on day PB appointed (May - B'ham?) Not seeing them again this tour due to conflicting commitments - looking though at going to the Mcr Academy in May (avec Wonderstuff).

Just realised that the last time was in May and not March. That was in Liverpool.
They had the strings then and was expecting the same last night but used a synth.
They were excellent. The Palladium is a good venue with great sound.

Also first saw them in 84, The Apollo in Oxford.
Still got the early albums on cassette somewhere!

Just seen IDLES in Oxford.

Tenuous Link Klaxon:

My wife's cousin goes out with a member of IDLES, went to my wedding and everything.

Good to see them getting successful.

Thursday night is Swindon's bright new things: GETRZ at The Vic. What's all this with bands' names using CAPITAL LETTERS?!

Anticipation building for Pixies in The Roundhouse tonight.

Come on Pilgrim & Surfer Rosa being played in their entirety.
Two classic album covers as well.

Missing Ells on the TEF.
