I'll take your word for it as I don't really know him. Only met a couple of times.

Good for him though, they're doing well. SXSW after you've finished with them which is pretty cool.

Hazel O'Connor at The Kenton in Henley last Friday. Great night with most of the Breaking Glass classics.

Her style is a bit more jazz orientated now so the old stuff has a more mature sound. Still ace though.

Wow, where?

Have to say, I've seen them twice and they were moody and rude both times. The second one, they were charging £30/£35 for a ticket to some weird echoey hall in Kings Cross, then complained that the crowd was a "bunch of jimminy cricket motherfuckers". Perhaps re-evaluated your pricing if you want young, hip kids to come rather than a bunch of 30+ white people (their largest demographic of fans, in the UK at least). Sure they'll be great tonight.

I have a ticket going for the XX at Brixton tonight, if anyone wants to buy it off me.
FYI they were fucking mint

She does still have a very powerful voice, saw her last year and she only sung Eighth Day and Will You of her hits she unfortunately didn't sing my favourite D-Days...cracking voice still though considering shes over 60 now.

I toured managed her on her tour in December 15.  It was the anniversary of Breaking glass tour and she came on introduced the film, we showed the film and then she did a load of songs with her 3 piece.

Wire in Reading tonight.

One of the great post punk bands.
Still going strong and good new material as well.

Saw the Stranglers for free in Reading about a week ago, only thought I'd recognise 'Golden Brown' (the real Stranglers fans with us were understandably unimpressed by this). Turned out I recognised about 6/7 of their songs and thought they were decent.

Off to see the Buzzcocks in town with some mates tonight. We'll all pretend we're 16 again.

First saw the Stranglers about 40 years ago. They must be ancient if any of the originals are still in it. Older than me I reckon.  This summer marks the 50th anniversary of Sgt Pepper.... a strange feeling.

Heading to the Cambridge Corn Exchange this evening for my annual Stranglers fix. Hugh Cornwell jumped ship many years ago and Jet Black a couple of years ago for health reasons but they still put on a good show and it's sold out tonight.
