Jimmy Carr was good - sitting on the front row is weird - there was a bit where he was sat on a sofa right in front of us and hes like looking at you when hes talking - its quite odd - he looks a lot older close up than he doesn on telly! luckily he didnt pick on us - he did pick on the man next to me though!

Can you tell me his 4 word, 3 word and 2 word joke please?

I saw him on his tour in the Autumn but got a little bit squiffy and can't remember any of the gags Sad

OK, not quite a gig but Franz Ferdinand live on Radio 1 last night was pretty good. I'd always been a bit meh about them but they changed my mind last night when I was listening in the car.

I heard that on the way home from spinning, it sounded pretty good. I do like their new offering.

My dad went to see Mark Watson in Swindon on Wednesday - his review

'He was good, very zany and full of nervous energy but entertaining. He was born in Bristol and went to school there, but I guess has Welsh roots as he mentioned Paul Bodin missing the most important penalty Wales ever had.'

I am hopefully going to see Iron Maiden in Bangalore on Feb 15th! Rock on!

I've seen Mark Watson and his act was all about "nervous energy". I believe he puts on the Welsh accent as a part of his act.

Yeah I saw him at Jongleurs in London along with Marcus Brigstock. Watson was very funny although he has been on TV panel shows and isn't particularly engaging so I guess isn't as quick witted as other comics.

I assume shows like Mock the Week have an etiquette where the regular panelists talk more. Plus they're heavily edited. While most of the guests just tell jokes from their stand-up routines anyway... Watson can't really do that judging from the show I saw.
