Blur last night was pretty special  ( certainly more enjoyable than my last 2 trips :-) ) , not a fan of Stadium gigs usually but that was good.

I saw Blur on Saturday, best stadium show I've ever seen.
Fully agree, usually stadium gigs arent great but they made Wembley feel small and intimate.

Belle and Sebastian at the Roundhouse to tonight.
A guilty pleasure?
Not really, some great catchy tunes & remarkably cheerful for a Scottish band.

So, Depeche Mode at the O2.
Had a go at pre sale but got the whirly busy thing.
When it eventually stopped the pricing may have reflected that the seats were in fact made of platinum.
A split second pause over the £77 seat in general sale & that was it. Too late.
All gone in about 2 or 3 minutes.

A half hearted attempt anyway having seen them at Twickenham last month.
I suspect that putting on a stadium gig is not cheap but the returns from a world tour must still be impressive.

I got to see Blur perform their new album in full at the Apollo last night, with a short encore of rarities and The Universal. They’re such a good band live, I could watch Coxon fiddle about for hours.

Yeah seen him before but its always been in large venues supporting others like Finsbury Park and the o2 arena. Was class seeing him in a place as small as Marlborough Town Hall.

Second viewing of the year of Sousie Sue in a possibly very sweaty venue in London this evening.
