Took me a while to get that one!

Just had my picture taken with the FA cup.  Which was nice.  Nearest Swindon will get to it this century.

Got the missus two tickets for Blink 182 for her birthday cos she loves them, idea being her eldest (my "stepson") would be her +1 but for some reason I ended up going. It was last night in Brum. They were a bit "meh", OKish, but a bit flat - kept looking like they were waiting for the audience to spark them into life, while the crowd looked like they were waiting for a bit more from the band. Like a popcorn punk version of many a season at the County Ground, really.

I'm not a huge fan of them anyway, they're a bit bubblegum for me although I quite like a couple of their tracks as part of a playlist, but overall they came across as a bit arrogant and just going through the motions. The support act was good, though, Frank Turner - tons of energy, good interaction with the crowd, great set.

Yes. We just wouldn't have a clue what to do with such 70's music trivia.

Did Lets Rock the 80s at Southampton Common this weekend, nice line up with Hazel O'Connor, Katrina and the Waves, Imagination, Kid Creole, Hue and Cry, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones, Tony Hadley and the Human League.

Human League were absolutely brilliant.

Saw Ride on Monday at their hometown gig at the New Theatre.

Awesome,in the traditional sense of the word.
They still make an incredible noise with out losing sight of a good tune.
It's been a while since I've heard a wah wah pedal too.
Last time I saw them was Reading Festival in 1992 and I'd say they were better now.
The band all look pretty much the same as they did then, apart from Mark Gardner who has completely lost all his flowing locks.
Andy Bell signed off by saying "we're the Shoegaze Beatles,Goodnight"

Always avoided Ride for some reason. Can't think why.

If you like Shoegaze then Slowdive are superb, for that reason the Reading roots are forgiven.  Smiley
