XTC won't play again because Partridge hates the culture of booze and drugs that go along with musicians. He's teetotal.

He goes to the Wheatsheaf up Old Town occasionally (as do I) and I'm fairly sure he partakes a pint of 6X (or IPA) when he's there ? and only socially not like me getting as many down my fat neck while I'm there  Pint

Tempted to ask him if there's any chance ever to see them perform again ! although probably will get some abuse back.

Went to Editors at The Roundhouse last night. They were superb and I can see why people think its a good venue too.

Saw Franz there last weekend, very nice venue, clearly had a lot spent on it recently. Just a shame they haven't nicked Brixton Academy's sloping floor, concert venues need that.

Yeah I prefer Brixton I think too. That floor is the best! Was nice to go somewhere different though.

If XTC ever performed live again I would be fucking delighted. I'm hoping Tom Waits will tour again but that's not looking very likely either...

He quit Eastenders years ago!

Thought I bought tickets for The Cure at the Albert Hall on Saturday after seeing the concert advertised as 29th March in the press. Turns out the tickets all sold out on pre-sale and the tickets that went on sale at the designated time were for 28th March. Didn't notice this until looking at the tickets and I have tickets for the Stranglers 40th anniversary tour at Cambridge that night. In the highly unlikely event that anyone on here wants to swap any Saturday Cure tickets for my Friday standing ones, PM me.

Band of skulls last night. Superb. Good old fashioned, dirty, sexy rock. Heck of a noise for a 3 piece.

I would like to see them live.

Can't recommend doing it highly enough. New album is out on Monday, but the tour in the UK finishes tonight, so I'd expect them to tour in the autumn when the album is out after festival season. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for dates.

Seeing Wild Beasts in Bristol tomorrow night, should be another cracker.

Saw the Manics at Brixton last night, one of their best gigs for me.

Good to hear "Archives of Pain" played, they've been playing a few off The Holy Bible this tour.

Seeing them tonight (thanks BO) and looking forward to it, got last night's set list running on Spotify at the moment.
