Sorry I missed your post crispy.

Well as Guy 66 said....they were the dogs bollocks.

Old town bowl was a quirky venue and avoided most of the showers.

Music was very good indeed.....brought back some goo memories......not as many people as I expected but I reckon a few didn't bother cos of the rain....a bug loss for them.

Not sure if this is in the right section but if you enjoyed seeing them play in Swindon in the summer, give the new Bruce Foxton album a try...fucking brilliant!
Three tracks feature Paul Weller and it was even recorded at the Modfather's Black Barn Studio where I was lucky enough to hear an early edit of the album.

I do not understand the continued popularity of Hadouken.

They're playing the furnace.  They're not that popular.

They were on at Reading in the middle of the afternoon and had a huge crowd.

I guess SY is right, I'm just surprised they haven't gone the same way as other 2007 'Nu-rave' bands like Klaxons or Late of the Pier (who were both immeasurably better), and just fizzled out.

There is a band I like called The Chapman Family who are playing some dates in Germany, if any of you who live there are interested/near enough and fancy some moody northern indie:

TUESDAY 16/10 REVOLVER at GRUNER JAGER, HAMBURG
THURSDAY 18/10 COMET, BERLIN
FRIDAY 19/10 SWAMP, FREIBURG
SATURDAY 20/10 NEW GLAM at CAFE KOZ, FRANKFURT

Me too,not as excited as last time but Finsbury Park is used to putting on Gigs and will be a lot easier day than Heaton (middle of fucking nowhere,£4 a can of Carling, 2 hour queues at the Bar) Park

Same as Yeo. I have Saturday tickets and my mate has Friday. My deliberation is whether to just say fuck it and go to both.

Good news on the beer. Not been to Finsbury before.
