i think it was one of the most utterly batty things when people say "oooh you're 15 you're not allowed to be in here" or "ooooh you gotta have a henri lloyd cap and be well up for a stan smith in the teeth after the game or you're not allowed in here" its GAY, you can go wherever you want if you're paying the money for fuck's sake.
and then saying you're not allowed to sing red army because pompey sang blue army a few times last season- that's even battier.

Dex: so a stand full of pubescent teenage boys, most of whom on these boards confess to having other team's close to their hearts, will create an atmosphere that many are after? I've heard a host of complaints from Town End regulars regarding the ever decreasing ages of the Town End faithful. Of course its unfair to discriminate i.e.: women are allowed to football matches(!), but it will inevitably have a detrimental impact on the atmosphere. If Mr Russell wants a Town End akin to the Kop then there should be gender and age restrictions!  Of course, that'll never happen, plus Wednesday night was cold, and I wasn't there so err, shut up Dave!  |

I understand completely why you think that people under 15 or whatever should not be allowed in, but considering that (for example) me and Johno join in with almost every chant and start some off ourselves, it would ahve been unfair to not let us in. No?

yeah, are you saying the town end has never been absolutely booming? well we all know it has- that was without any sortof restrictions. who gives a fuck about pre pubescent boys? to coin a cliche, they are the future, and what better way to get hooked than to be in the town end when parkin slams home a last minute winner infront of you.

Well said dex. I think the main problem is people who sit on the left hand side. They sit down for 90 minutes and the right hand side is always louder (I sit bang in the middle). If the left made as much noise as the right we would be making three huge steps in the right direction!  |
