Apparently there's been a lot of coin throwing at Pittodrie recently, but the Grampian police have developed a cunning plan to crack down on it.

They are deploying plain clothes detectives outside the ground on matchdays, looking for people asking for change of 5p.

Apparently social scientists have figured out why there is such a prevalance of Heroin use in Glasgow, but not other class A drugs such as cocaine.

"It is all to do with how the drug is administered," said one scientist.

"Whereas Heroin can be injected, typically money is used when cocaine is 'snorted.'

"after all, it is impossible to roll up a 50p piece, isn't it?"
