Did SSW really get involved with the Club because he's a life long fan? As a fan, how can he countenence the shit that's been going on?
I fully understand his need for advisors. If I came into a lot of money (I'm talking millions here) I would put a lot into STFC, but, due to my lack of business nous, I would also employ advisors...................................................................................
TO FUCKING ADVISE ME!!!!! I wouldn't bury my fucking head in the sand and allow them carte blanche to fuck my club up.
As for his son............ He sounds to me like some rich, spoiled, never had to work for anything, petulant, arrogant chinless wonder, who treats fans like something unpleasant he's just stood in.
Yes they've put in a lot of money. Why? Because they could afford it and they wanted to help the club they 'love'?
Or, was it because they thought there was a chance of making a few quid on redevelopment?
If it was for purely selfless reasons, thanks very much, but by recent actions you've shown you're unable to take the club any further, so sell to the consortium.
If it was to make a few quid, hopefully the consortium will offer you enough to go gracefully (Although that is beginning to look very unlikely).
Either way your position at the club is now (In my view) untenable.
A few weeks ago, even through all the turmoil, there were not many fans who would say anything against SSW. Now?

My friend There is a major difference between "putting money in" and offering Land Registry charges on your land/property to secure third party funding, that you would need repaying with monies coming into the club.Let's not loose sight of that fact shall we ??

Not sure whether this is an over reaction but cant help feeling like alongside the Orange Revolution that from my seat in the Arkells I want to get chants started of 'theres only one Bill Power' I know chanting wasnt something we really wanted to involve at this stage but maybe before, half time and after would be better but its time we got the wind up them, they will not take OUR football club from this town, they will have one hell of a fight on there hands then

My main points still stand Fred. They are now unable, or unwilling to invest further in the club and appear to be waiting until such time as they can recoup any investment they have already made. If they truly had the clubs best interests at heart, they would be making potential investors welcome, instead of slagging them (And the Trust) off at every available opportunity. P.S. I've already said I don't have any business nous, stop confusing me with technicalities!!!

Aha!! Now I understand!! If you're right Fred ( And lets face it, you know a damn sight more than me!) Do you think all of us wearing something orange to the games is really gonna dislodge these clowns? Or is something a little more direct going to be needed?

I have read all the forums for ages but have only posted on thisisstfc because of the sometimes nasty replies on here to posts by new people. Having been a true fan for about the last 35 years I've seen it all , this club has been poorly run for as long as I can remember ,if SSW has been in the background all this time why has he let it be run by people who in the vast majority are incompetant ? Its time the fans made our voices count , as for SSW putting his money in think about this. We as fans watch around 30 home games a season paying an average of say £15 that equals £450 a season roughly x that by an average home attendance of 5000 = £2.25 million a season x that by say the last 10 years it means we've put in 22.5 million as fans roughly so its time for the revolution.

I think weshould wait and see how Saturday goes. We have a number of home matches coming up to put the pressure on these 'people', and it's amazing what fans can do.

Plus merchandise, food, drink and leaving your coat at to the game you could probably add another 10% to that.
