what makes you say that?

he's got near enough 2 years left to run, so if he does leave we'll have to pay him up a fair amount. Just like we did King, Bill?

it's because he isn't requesting a transfer, but we're moving him on. his contract with us says that he's entitled to earn, say, £2'000 for the duration of that contract, and we'd have to make sure that he does.

i might be wrong though, hope i am!

Until we get someone decent in to run the club, why worry about the money situation? Separate the current owners from STFC. Far more money is heading down the road to Newbury than is going on Gareth Whalley.

So adding in the Contract thingy, King could offer him a contract of £1 per week, and Swindon would have to pay the other £1,499 per week for the next 2 years.

Surely that's just bonkers?
