From what I've been told by mates who drank their before (I always travelled from mates elsewhere in Brum) they ended up in some dodgy suburb with some walsall fans who took them off to find a pub to watch an England game in, very rough by all accounts. The ground is in the middle of a wasteland under the M6. IMHO best off drinking in Birmingham centre or find an alternative suburb.

Isnt it easier to go via bristol? Normally it is but I've heard that some part of the Bristol - Gloucester - Brum line has engineering that weekend? As do parts of the other line via didcot/oxford or Reading? I was told this at the weekend and am not sure the exact extent of the work.
