How about flags with old STFC club badges on them.  Would mean more to the average fan than a Union Jack or L&P Logo.

Let's make the flags about the club and town, something unique to STFC, and the old badges would fit that criteria well.

Like that idea Jan

If I had the money I'd quite fancy a large St Georges Cross with the old badges in each quarter and something else in the fourth one.  Nice work Jan.

Back to the floodlights....with new grounds etc....could these be the oldest example of English football ground floodlights......could we get them listed by English Heritage, and so get some grant money for maintainance?

Getting the floodlights listed would cause problems when they need to be taken down to build a new stadium. Otherwise I agree with everything you just said.

Still think one badge per flag would be more effective.  STFC through the years.  Retro.

I complely agree with you as does the bloke who writes the football ground guide

"the ground also benefits by a striking set of four floodlight pylons. Once a feature across the country, floodlights are slowly but surely disappearing from the landscape, being replaced by rows of lights across the stand roofs. It's a shame really, if only because the floodlight pylons made it a lot easier to locate a ground in a town or city and were always synonymous with a football ground."

Floodlight bulbs......I've raised this at AGM's and forums, to be told that even with several bulbs missing, we meet the criteria to play, maybe so but I've a job seeing the SB from the TE too clearly.

That's because you're old and your sight's going reg.
