Chris Morris is the funniest man around these days but not really a comedian. Likewise Armando Iannucci. Don't know if anyone saw "2004: The Stupid Version" on BBC 2 a couple of weeks ago but it's easily the funniest thing that's been on tv so far this year. They cut up a load of Michael Howards speaches to make him say "I want to be.. handcuffed.. and penetrated.. by..Swedish policeman. I'm going..dog..ging.. in..South Wales. I can''t stand Tony Blair..because he's a..fu..cking twat." Genius.

And as for Bill Bailey??? What the fuck?
oi! whats wrong with him? seen him live twice and it was fantastic. i had a drunk heckler sitting next to me, bailey ripped it out of him. don't pick on comedians, they'll tear you apart. Best comedian ever - Bill Hicks.
Eddie Izzard top shouts there, i think those 2 are the funniest i've ever seen.

I dont like Bill Bailey either. Have to say thats a shite list Johno.
Kay is better in Phoenix nights, max and paddy et al.
Watched a geordie bloke on TV about 6 months ago whos name escaped me. I'd never heard of him before but he was fucking brilliant.
Best i've seen live would be Mark Thomas, although its debatable whether his show was proper stand up.

I watched Peter Kay live at the Bolton Albert Halls again last night. Funny as fuck. Best bit is at the end where he does impressions of everyone in the family dancing :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick

The welsh guy from T4's funny, so's Dermot O'Leary. This thread is missing something. Funny women, the problem is there are so few about.
Erm, umm.... Is there such a thing?

Yeah I've seen him on one of those late night BBC1 comedy shows, remember him being a funny fucker. Saw another funny geordie supporting Ed Byrne last week he was good too.

Of those it's Peter Kay by a country mile. They're are so many good comedians it's hard to single one out. What I do know though, is that Joe Pasquale is a waste of skin.
