Surely if you use cPanel it should be a piece of piss to set up?

Here you go, directly from cPanel

Hint: to run PHP files, enter the command as follows (modify to fit your needs):

Hint: to run CGI files, enter the command as follows (modify to fit your needs):
GET http://yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/path_to_file/file.cgi > /dev/null

I take it your trying to run a clean-up or backup file that's already provided by phpBB? If so then it's not your php file or cgi that isn't working.

Tried using the advanced settings to tweak it?

Do you have ssh/telnet access?

Either way this is perfect, you will have to upload some files, then you have access through an executable on your desktop.

You can edit and add cron jobs, but be sure you host allows this as the update won't go through otherwise. To be fair i have no idea what you need to do, so i'll give up. Use this program.
