.....was coincidentally in 67.

I went. For some reason probably connected to the fact we played them again next day (it was Easter) it kicked off at 11. 00am.

Which meant in those pre Motorway days the Rimes coach left at 5:00 am which was crap.

Although having been on a decent run, winning 3 from 4, including a demolition of a decent Middlesboro side 4-1 with a Rogers hat trick, we were undone by a roly poly schemer, John Smith. (You know the rest)

The following day was not much better in a 0-0 draw.....I'd settle for a similar seasons end when we won 9 drew 2 and lost 1 of the remaining 12.

Crowd for the home game 14,327.

I'd settle for a similar result the last time we played them at Plainmoor in the league cup in 92.

6-0 victory.

Goal scorers please Reg.

Maskell, Mitchell 2, Taylor, Ling, White.

They were poor at home that season we were Hoddle inspired, Nicky Summerbee destroyed them with his quality of cross.

Think we should really take all 3 points on Saturday.

Old boy Kuffour and Akinfenwa should be fairly easy to get to grips with.  I'd like to see Jerel back in the side and have a have a crack at Kuffour, the sort of player he can keep under wraps.

A few Holmes crosses in place of Summerbee and who knows.

I know history doesn't repeat itself, but the decent Boro side we demolished in 67 4-1, got auto promo, two games later its Torquay who should easy enough....bit like when we played them having just seen off Sheff Wed this season......

To get these 3 points we'll probably have to put in maybe our second best away show of the season after Sh**ty......they'll be well up for this after last night.

Hopefully so will we. Should be a laugh. I also remember going to watch Torquay against Swansea in 1991, Torquay won 1-0. Weird little place.
