this improved offer thing - is this just to see if Wise and Poyet accept a bigger wage ? then the 'one year's salary' clause means we get a lot more compensation (...which will probably back fire since no other club will be willing or able to pay more compo and then we will be left unable to pay the higher wages...)

leeds are gonna have to pay a bomb if we're asking for the full compensation we're owed - 12 months for each of 'em - and they're still pretty skint.

it's not over until leeds announce they've ended discussions, but if our board are indicating that they won't settle for less than the designated amount of compensation then bates may have no choice but to look elsewhere.
one positive would be that i think wise and poyet are professional enough to buckle down and get on with the job should they remain at the club.
personally i think the only reason wise is interested in the leeds job is because of ken bates.
