Sorry to disappoint but this has no reference to Graham Poll.

WHY OH WHY is Peter Crouch on the list to vote for all time greatest England strikers?!!!!

WHY?

Didn't stop me voting for him though  Cool

He's had a good start, but he's not prolific.

G H Camsell (Middlesbrough, 1929-36) was prolific - 18 goals from 9 matches.
G R Hilson (Chelsea, 1907-09) was prolific - 14 goals from 8 matches

Crouch's 11 goals from 14 games is pathetic not prolific.

He's made a good start, but that's all it is. Time will tell.

11 goals from 14 games for England is hardly pathetic is it. Be serious. Particularly when he's only started about half of those. The international standard wasn't as good in the 1930s or before 1910 and we used to regularly scored 7,9 or even 11 goals in a game. eg. England 11 Austria 1 in 1908 and England 7 Spain 1 in 1931.

Rooney only has 11 in 33 games, I guess that must be shockingly  poor.

I'd imagine the reason Crouch is in the poll is he now has the all time record for the most amount of goals scored for England in a calendar year. Clearly he has had a prolific year for England, the most prolific year anyone has ever had in fact.
