Watched the highlights on 5ive earlier and Sir Geoff mentioned problems between Pakistan and Darrell Hair in the past. Anybody know what happened there?

I think Darrell Hair claims Kashmir is his.  Something to do with jumpers.

Plus...

He also reported Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi for scuffing the pitch with his boots in the second Test against England last winter.

"The fourth npower Test match between England and Pakistan has therefore been forfeited with the match being awarded to England. In accordance with the laws of cricket it was noted that the umpires had correctly deemed that Pakistan had forfeited the match and awarded the Test to England"

They'll have to, exceptional circumstances or not, it's still an England win

Very odd incident....because i think the umpires are right in the forfeit cause pakistan took too long to come back out after tea. came them two chance and clearly weren't coming out so Hair made the right decision. Pakistan can't just play when they want.

Apparently MI5 were 'stumped' as to how they got them in there but it would 'seam' they had pre-planned the whole incident

I'm not sure of all the history between Hair and Pakistan, but i do know he was the umpire who gave Inzy out in the last series we played in Pakistan, when Harmy chucked the ball at the wicket, prompting poor Inzy to jump out of the way for fear that he'd get injured.
Any other umpire than Hair and Pakistan might not have got so pissed off,he does seem to have a problem with them.Having said that, what Inzamam did was wrong, you can't do what he did,its not cricket :nono:

Maybe something good will come of it and the ODI series will get called off Wink

Clearly the ICC will need to throw the book (not the Koran though) at Inzamam ....which wil mean the tourists will probably boycott the series.

It would be for the best not to bother with fixtures v Pakistan in the future.
