In a moment of utter boredom last night when Big Brother was on I flicked though the local free reg "The Star"

Imagine my suprise when I saw that outside an inside the front page was full page adverts for STFC (4 full pages in all) covering everything from matchday prices, season tickets to conferencing and party packages and pricing.

Its good to see that someone (Mike sullivan before the crash?) had the common sense to activly promote the club whilst there is a renewed feeling of positivity around the CG.

More evidence that the clubn is actually being run like a proper business now?

shame it was in a paper that no-one actually reads. Adverts around town would be better.

Other than me it would seem :?

As far as I'm aware everyhouse in Swindon should get a copy of the Star though so whilst readership is low, circulation is high.

I doubt 4 pages advertising in the star costs much either. About tree fiddy I'd guess.

So you think, quite literally, that no one reads it. I think you may be sadly mistaken.

For STFC!!!!!

Nice to see they are reaching out. I'm sure that just by attracting 4 or 5 newcomers they are getting a profit, then if they bring afriend next time etc etc etc

a small advert in the adver would be ten times more productive than one in the star
