Highlight for me was Willie Carson in the background screeching away like a banshee at the shortness of the match official just before the post match interviews.

Inspiring moment for me was seeing the players, all of them, come out at least 3 hours before kick off for a training session on the pitch.

umm, no, not really, owing to the blue paper we ordered actually turning out to be a sort of aqua white!  everyone seemed to hold their paper up but you wouldn't have known it was a Uruguay flag I'm afraid.  Shame given the turnout was so much better than the Brentford one.

We'll be sticking to Red in displays I think.

I was still walking from the pub, and missed it...

Some observations:

Pook has got worse
Monkhouse has no saving abilities to make up for his lack of any winger qualities
We have no width

Aside from those, i thought some of our play going forward was very encouraging (Roborts' movement is fantastic) and we totally deserved the 3 points. Can't ask better than 6 points from 6.

Shakes was poor tonight. I'd have to say that his goal looked like a poor cross from where I was sitting.

He didn't really do anything special throughout the game.

He doesn't run at people, or use this 'pace' that he has apparently got.

Thought Monkey did a job, decent in defence but doesn't seem to do a regular wingers job and run with the ball down the line.

Also, we can't take decent corners or free-kicks for toffee.

FAO Lady...

He can't cross. The one he didn't hit out for a goal kick accidentally went in. That is all...  Wink

disagree with that almost entirely, shakes continually took players on and used his pace and i'd say scoring the equaliser was something "special"!

although it was blatantly a cross

I have heard of going off at a tangent but that takes the piss

Shakes was okay last night when he made runs and people picked them out. Until that happened he was useless. The team need to use him better

When the goal went in, the bloke next to me said "That's the Best cross he's ever made"  Cheesy
