THE on-off, will-he-won't-he saga of Michael Carrick's move to Manchester United has reached its conclusion, with Spurs finally agreeing a deal with the Old Trafford club..

Carrick, who joined Tottenham from West Ham United for £2.75 million in August 2004, will join United in a deal worth around £15 million, with future incentives pushing the fee closer to £18 million and the Geordie midfielder has played his last game for the club, according to sources At white hart lane.

The deal will be completed by the beginning of next week at the latest.
