stolen from berniman on the l&p forums

"I dunno whether this has been done yet, but tonight on Talk Sport Radio they had an interview with Steve Bull about becoming Vice President at Wolves.

During the interview the talk got around to Paul Ince. Steve Bull stated that "Paul Ince would not play for Wolves again and that he is going down to join Dennis Wise at Swindon" He stated this was because he wanted a player coach/manager role at Wolves and they were not willing to offer that to him.

Maybe Dennis has offered him the player coach role he yearns for!

Sound like this could be the big signing after all!"

confirmed on wolves forums (thanks rob and tails) here

If he does sign, I'd be worried about his fitness levels if he hasn't had any pre season training yet!

Rather have Wise playing in the middle.

yes we do

on a different note, you'll notice how no one replied to your previous question on this thread a whole 18 minutes beforehand? oh you did. they why ask fundamentally the same fucking question again you fucking plum?

it's gone midnight, the numbers of people on here are minimal so fucking calm down

back to the original point...

michael pook is not a professional footballer. wise and poyet don't appear to want to get their knees grassy so we do need another central midfielder.

we have ben wells and pook who are not good enough

we have whalley injured, seemingly constantly

weston- hurrah that's 1 we can play.

who else will play central midfield then captain smart arse?

Even if he can only play a handful of games id happily see him give his experience off the pitch to the other players.

12:39 - 12:21=18 minutes difference

if you read the first then you pretty much get the gist of "why are we signing him?"

"the second "why are we signing him?"

and that was my rational behind my thinking, before i posted.

Initially I thought the same. But the more I think abaout it the more it make sense to sign him.

All my opinion, but firstly Wise and Ince probably won't play in the same side, though I could be wrong! I think neither are likely to be up to playing in every match this season.  So one can cover the other. Not bad is it, oh no Ince is injured, we'll have to make do with Wise.

Secondly the experience and winning mentality Ince would bring would be invaluable. He, Wise and Poyet know what it takes to win things.

So whilst Ince arriving would probably mean less games for Wise, it it might all work out well for STFC. Our only aim this season shuld be getting out this league (by being promoted).
