I have to admit, I didn't even realise we played music after the goals at the CG!!!!
It is indeed shit, and now I will clearly end up hearing it it will annoy me. Middlesborough is the worst, they even join in the song when the players come out.
I know this may seem odd, considering I'm involved with the Red Army L&P stuff, but music is, as pointed out, very American whereas we are trying to bring ins stuff done at football the world over.
What is the tune out of interest? is it really cheesy?
Announcer is ok, can't remember a time we didn't have one to be honest, although I'm sure there was.

I remember the Forest game for their music after every goal we conceded. Bad memories I fecking hate that tune Quite funny in that game our fans doing the east chant at 6-1 down, apart from the football that was a great day out But it was the football that made it an horrendous day(nay, weekend)out.

its a great song, forget the name but its waaaahhh! i feel good, etc with that famous jazzy bloke. my point is that music should only be played in the interval and before the game. it has no place during the game, its cheesy, american, cringeworthy, childish, and downright pathetic AS IF WE CANT CELEBRATE THE GOAL OURSELVES!!!!!!! the announcer bloke is ok, i just wish he wouldnt do that drawn out stupid childish thing, cant he just say who scored the goal normally? and not as if he just wet himself like an over excited three year old?

I think your argument is invalid if you don't know who James Brown is.

I do agree with it partly. If we had music after winning every corner/free kick/goal etc it would be even more annoying and also even more American. As it stands I can tolerate it as it is because I'm usually celebrating our rare goals too much to even notice, even though it is a bit shit.
A lot of potential fans are going to come from the children of other supporters and their partners who might not be into football as much. For them it might make it a more fun day out. So I can see why it's done.

I wouldn't have any problem with post-goal music, if it was decent/funny/interesting.

its was better when they pried to "personalise" the goal music back in the quinn era like "I I iffy iffy I" and "Hey! you've got to hind your love away!"

The only time music at football has ever been cool is when they used to play ska at the hawthorns, molineux, and stamford bridge What's that music they play at Wolves called, is it "The Liquidator"? It goes: na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na and the crowd respond (every last man woman and child - kids, mums, dads, grannies and grandads - the whole family): "FUCK OFF WEST BROM, FUCK OFF!" Gold
