The ceremony begins when the platform party enters the ceremony hall. The Presiding Officer will declare the Congregation open, and the Head of School will approach the lectern. At the appropriate moment, the marshal will ask your row to stand for the presentation and guide you to the Graduands' Marshal near the platform area. Your name will be chacked again.
When the Head of School calls your name, walk across the platform to stand in front of the Presiding Officer. He will then place his hands over your hands (palms pressed together), and you should bow. Leave the platform on the far side, where you will be presented with a folder containing either your award certificate or a letter confirming it has been/will be posted to you...
The Marshal will then guide you back to your seat.
