the arctic monkeys, franz ferdinand, hard-fi, the kaiser chiefs, the kooks, the libertines?

music goes back further than 2002!

im sure it does but alot of the bands were mentioned due to them being fresh in my memory.

to me there have been no bands since oasis that will really stand the test of time and i will look back on fondly and none before....its just my opinion.

the bands you mention i dont think will really stand the test of time and theyve at best dented the charts. you describe them as 'important' because there important to you, whereas bands that are really important are bands that will be looked back on forever like oasis, the jam, the who, the specials, the beatles, the smiths, the stone roses, etc.

im my opinion mcghee has produced one important band and a bunch of mediocre at best bands...bands which to me are nothing special, just okay.

opinions is one thing but facts is another, i will give him primal scream...theyve made a fair bit of impact even though they get on my tits abit and i generally dont like there music.

STOP SAYING "in my opinion" - YOU'RE SAYING IT, THEREFORE WE KNOW ITS YOUR OPINION.

the bands you list are mostly wank. arctics, ff, hard fi, kaisers and the kooks will all be unknowns in a few year's time and were they really the best bands you could think of in the last 20 years!?

of mcgee's discoveries (and from the one's i've heard), oasis, primal scream and the super furrys will stand the test of time for any non-ignoramus.

what the hell do the charts matter!? they don't mean a thing.

I'm pretty sure Mani wasn't an original member of the 'Scream' :?:

Didn't Mcgee manage The Libertines? That must have been hard work.

if we're going to use that argument, mcgee shouldn't get credit for discovering primal scream either
