Does anyone know a bit about this? I've currently got a Sony CD Head-unit:

I've got 2 little Pioneer speakers (10cm I think) in the front and some Sony one's in the back (12cm).

I want to get a Sub for the boot but I don't really know what's involved. Do I need an Amp? My current head-unit is pretty decent plus the Sub I'm looking at has a built-in amplifier:

So, what do I need? Any cables? An amp?

If the subwoofer has a built in amp (active) then you can connect it to the head unit. It should have its own seperate line out for a sub (most head units have an option to turn on/off sub).

Seeing as your head unit is an xploder I would think this would be the case
