I have often wondered what the butter mountain looks like. Do they have to make a really big fridge to keep it in? otherwise it will all just melt and seep out everywhere, leaving horribale fatty deposits. It's also one of those foods that you couldn't really send to countries in need of food, you'd have to send bread, toasters and strawberry jam as well.

I have often wondered what the butter mountain looks like. . When Anchor Butter was in Swindon....they just imported dried powdered milk from NZ....it was potential butter. So potential butter mountains are to be found in the St Austell area of Cornwall. http://www.cornwall-calling.co.uk/mines/mines3.gif Hope this helps.
