Went to Ios years ago - a hippy paradise with a big steep hill, lots of drugs, good bars and everyone so laid back, they were horizontal. Think you can get a boat there.
Dont expect anything commercial such as golf tho'

ok, so maybe golf is pushing it - but some stuff to do during the day, nice food and places to get lashed are a must. I suppose some places to go and see for the trouble and strife, too.

If going with the mrs, then forget Ios.
Birdy is right, Rhodes is good but very hot. I went to Faliraki 2 years ago and it was awesome (away from the clubbing, vomit-stained youth of GB) and we had a really relaxing holiday.

Mykonos - if you fancy spotting a famous face at the end of July.

Lefkas/Lefkada is good, a bit like Kefalonia but not as pricey!
Some nice beaches but everything is spread out, a hire car is a must on Lefkas.

Rhodes is good for shopping. Especially the old town part, the old ruined buildings are nice if your looking for a bit of history etc and thats where all the market stools are. Sell lovely jewlery and handbags and stuff

Dont expect anything commercial such as golf tho' I've been there a couple of times...but not in recent years...sounds about how I recall it, with lots of sex thrown in.
