Remember him? Very successful player with Juve and only retired this summer. It would appear that he has jumped from a window at Juve's offices in Torino. He's alive though. And in hospital.

Quote
The 35-year-old former Juventus player fell from the top floor of the building and landed between two parked cars.

He has sustained multiple fractures, but is still conscious and not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

Reports say Pessotto threw himself off the balcony on the second floor while holding a rosary in his hands. Police are investigating it as a possible suicide attempt.

The 35-year-old, who had been alone in his office at the time, fell 10 metres into an internal courtyard, hitting two parked cars before landing on the ground.

good defensive midfielder. i think he knew something about the scandal and about to say something and was pushed. Only joking. Such a shame on the bravo messageboards it says he contemplating suicide. Hope he get better. Cannavaro and Buffon are really close to pessotto.

My first reaction was that too! But I'm a cynic.

He has been involved in the club since the doping days and through this recent scandal. He may have been pushed to keep him from speaking. Or jumped before he could say somehting that could harm Juve.

But that's just my nasty mind wandering. It's probably a tragic accident.

First I thought you were saying we were gonna sign him. Unlikely now, although my first thought was 'I wonder if he was pushed?'. Sounds unlikely though.

Such a shame, the Professor was a great servant to Juve and one of footballs good guys. I just hope he recovers and overcomes his personal problems. Sad
