I like looking at everybody's icons.
What's the zip program which has the books with a key on icon?
I use 7zip but I've just realised I have no idea what the icons look like, pretty sure it's not that though.
I went through a stage of having all my short cuts in my quick bar which I'd have hidden at the top of the screen.
Gave up on that.
I normally have a My Computer bar dragged over to the right on the taskbar so I can use it like a drive start menu. Happy days.

I have just noticed Barry's "Mustdo.txt" file, have you done those thigs yet baz?.
The whole randomness of your desktop arrangement is impressive, well done.
Oh, and 1st column, 7th row is a shortcut that no longer works but is stil there.

I like 7zip because it's open source and free and .7z is a pretty good archive format. It's not the sexiest or easiest to use program in the world although that that might have improved with recent versions.

A man after my own heart. My mustdo.txt used to get updated day and night i'll have you know. It is now complete though, as i've moved into spreadsheets and outlook tasks. Step 1 of the cleanup operation complete. Mustdo.txt is gone! The icon you refer to is actually a windows update .exe, so sorry BR, you're on your own with shortcuts missing programs!  |

That is my one major gripe with xp - having 3 colours to choose from  Mine too. So I've got a vista-wannabe theme It doesn't require any software or resources to run it, you just need to patch the UXTheme.dll file so that Windows will recognise third party themes. Ah right, I didn't know that, I've only just round to having a look as I know have my own computer. I'm not really keen on the menu system in Vista, all I wanted is a black theme, but I may go and have a look and see if anything looks cooler. |
