Wise and Poyet?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh???

F*** me

I can see that being spectacularly sucessful or a complete disaster.  I can't see it being anywhere in between.

My gob is smacked.  I feel very much like I did when we appointed Ossie Ardiles out of the blue. It was an exciting appointment but you didn't have a clue how he might do. Of course history shows he was a phenomenal success. Let's hope history repeats!

On a personal note, I like Poyet very much. He strikes be as being slightly mental which I like Cool

Denise Wise?Huh? Not sure. We shall see.

I think its a bloody excellent decision.  He's a manager with passion, and he will inject both passion and energy into the players.  Hes also a handy midfielder, which is n added incentive

He did a god job with Milwall under difficult circumstances, and if the choice was between keeping iffy or hiring wise, then in my opinion

Iffy, your fired !!!!!

Didnt he break a players nose in spain? Just hope he installs a bit of hard descipline on our lot, especially looking at the drink culture at the club.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I dont know what to think right now.

To pass the time til I do, I'm going to think about a threesome with Elisha Cuthbert and Jessica Alba.

It worries me the amount of money that will have to be spent on wages for wise and poyet and then the other 'high profile' players be seem to think will join us, esp with the £900,000 cva thing to pay off in the near future.  If Power put a mill in surely it would be best paying that off then moving on from there?

Power suggested the CVA was in hand.  He is also not someone to throw endless cash at things, I think his total investment at QPR was £1m.  Hopefully there is enough experience of how bad things can be at this club over the past 5 years that a sensible approach to things is being taken.

I'm not sure which is best..
to spend a bit more to get a motivator in the manager's job and get him to work with the players you've got ...

OR,

spend the money on better players and keep the average manager you've got.
Huh??  :?

I hope that the appointment of Wise (if it happens) will be a repeat of the appointment of Macari.

I can't help but get midly excited about things at the mo.  Several weeks back we were facing relegation, splits amongst fans appearing over Iffy, stories coming out about not being able to afford King's salary etc.

Regardless of the capabilities or otherwise of Wise and exactly how much Power might be chanelling our way etc, it's damned good to be talking about potential improvements rather than things getting steadily worse all the time.

In previous seasons we have built a squad capable of reaching the play-offs on a shoestring budget so it can be done providing the contacts are there.....

If the money is spent at a managerial level its a definite must to have someone with a lot of allies/aquaintances in higher leagues.

if Wisey is appointed and you don't like it - fuck off then!
It's important that the club moves forward - Iffy did well but we can't afford to be a nursery for managers for another season. Wisey is a proven manager at a higher level - it would be good for the club.
