...interesting snippet from yesterday's Guardian, from an article about a proposed takeover of Liverpool, by a Norwegian consortium.
...........Stordalen owns 90% of the Choice Hotels Scandinavia group, Norway's largest hotel chain, and is believed to be attracted by the potential of building a hotel alongside Liverpool's proposed new stadium on Stanley Park, together with a possible casino.
The Norwegian pair have already sought advice on English football and Liverpool's future potential from the former Swindon, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Barnsley striker Jan Aage Fjortoft on the scheme. Fjortoft is currently manager at Lillestrom and Spetalen hopes he would play some role at Liverpool should they succeed in buying significantly into the club.

i was hoping Glenn Hoddle would invest in Swindon when he gets the sack at Wolves .. he surely has enough money to do it .. and then he could be manager and never get sacked .. and put us BACK WHERE WE BELONG ..
well we can dream

well we can dream He's probably got some money. But unless you're absolutely loaded and love the team, i.e Walker at Blackburn and the bloke at Reading who don't mind not getting any return financially, or like the bloke at Chelsea who probably earns more in interest than he spends he's that loaded, then it isn't going to happen. Hoddle probably has time for us but that's it. His main love is Spurs and he would never put money into us knowing he'd never see it again. Nice thought but keep dreaming.

I know you are right Bedford .. but Hoddle is a very misunderstood man .. and if he wanted to still make his mark in English football I think this would be a good way to go about it
