Speaking of Nationwide, they offered the Club to open the Stratton Bank to Swindon Fans for £10 each as it isn't used much. Also, they offered to pay for the extra stewerding also, and the club said no.

what a surprise! says it all really! the board are simply useless

So what did they offer exactly? If this suggestion was indeed true it was probably just that - a suggestion. Surely the club would decide the offers. STFC probably realised they would lose money, even with free stewarding if that arrangement were to take place.

And they fenced off the block nearest the stratton bank. Gutted about that.

Why should the club accept it? All it means is that people go from the other stands into the SB and pay a lower price. What advantage is there?!

That was a fiver for a ticket though and many fans that would normally pay full price paid only £5. So I reckon the club didn't make any extra from that.

i can see where ya coming from there bro but i think they did as the people who payed a fiver were the ones who never go. therfore we had an extra 2000 fans each in for a fiver. thats an extra 10k  Cheesy

Fair enough an extra 2000 @ £5 is £10k, but there were people there that normally go and only paid a fiver which would offset some of the additional revenue. In reality we wouldn't have made much. If the Bank was opened would it really create much more profit? Probably not as some people who pay full price would move to the cheaper seats. Those that came for a fiver might not want to pay £10 etc. etc.

The 15 quid tickets for the Blackpool game (and marketing it outisde the fanbase, e.g. leafletting it around town) put about 1000 on the gate over what they expected given the League position and Saturday before Xmas

It would be interesting to see if there was actually an increased revenue. <more gate - people who'd normally go anyway getting in cheaper>

On an I'm supposed to be doing humerous posts on each seperate section note. At least our ground has 4 sides.
