Whatever happened to Holgate ? From listening to the radio, our purple patch, when we got a string of draws, coincided with him playing. Have we given up on him ?

No idea where Holgate is, but I don't think our lack of results is anything to do with his absense.

I think  barring a near miricle we are down now. I hope this doesn't finish us as a club. I can just about cope with us playing in division 4...

Look on the bright side - It was worse in the early 80s and suddenly got alot, lot better !

I think we're down now. Only 8 games left and we need 5 wins from them, which I just can't see us getting.

Nice change of mood there NMH. I remember season 83-84 when we finished 17th in Div 4, then Macari arrived and it all changed.

It got worse than that - Macari took us to bottom of the league and was under pressure. It was then that it got better !

Yeh, forgot about that. Seems strange that after 8 games of the 85-86 season we had won 2 drawn 1 and lost 5, and ended up with 102 points.

There's always hope.

So, will Iffy come on and sorry: 'Sorry guys, we tried, but we are doomed now. We need to have a bit of a clear out of the dead wood. We'll just use the last couple of games to blood players for next year. '

Yeah ok, i think we are down now....BUT i reckon we are capable of gettin another 11 points from the remaining 8 games....

The team against Chesterfield, should be:

Evans, Jenks, Nicho, Ifil, Platt, Shakes, Brown, Migs, Whalley, Curo, Peacock

Subs: Bulman, J.Smith, O'Hanlon, Gurney, Roberts

Simple 4-4-2 as our team are shit at any other formation! So stick to 4-4-2 Iffy!!!!

O'Hanlon hasn't been at his best for most of the season and therefore should be dropped. Miglioranzi should be captain IMO.

i feel as though we're pretty much down and out now.

no point sacking iffy with 8 games to go either, it'd only consign us to relegation.

Nah, Iffy has to keep positive pubically until it is mathmatically impossible for us to stay up.

I can't see it, but while there is something to fight for we must continue to fight.
