I think 50 will be enough, which means we need 11 points. Providing we keep up performances like Yeovil and pre Rotherham we should be OK.

Colchester Away - Colchester are in rotten form at the moment and can't buy a goal for love nor money and Cureton is bound to get one! However considering we just don't win away from home I will take a draw.

Chesterfield Home - Should be aiming for 3 points in the remainder of our home games and considering Chesterfield have lost their last two games 4-1 and 3-0 to pretty crap sides I see no reason why a half decent Swindon performance can't get us 3 points.

Swansea Away - I will expect a battling performance at Swansea but for us to lose out on Rory Fallons first goal for his new club. I really don't expect to get anything from this game.

Hartlepool Home - Another home game against a team down there with us where 3 points is a must. If the team are up for it I reckon they'll win.

Franchise Home - They are the worst team in the league, but they have good home form. Should be 3 points although I can see us making it difficult for themselves and getting a draw.

Scunthorpe Away - Are improving recently but I think a stubborn Swindon performance could get us a point at least, I do think we'll lose though.

Brentford Home - Very, very tough game but we've already shut up shop once against Brentford and can do it again. I'll be happy with a point but I think we'll lose.

Bristol City Away - A draw or a win is definately doable but City are playing like they should have done at the start of the season now so they'll probably beat us.

Huddersfield Home - If the results go above we'll be fighting for our lives in front of our own fans and I think we'll get a point at least considering Huddersfield never beat anyone down the bottom.

If our form goes on like that we'll finish on 50, which will be enough IMO. Things could go for the better or for the worse, you never know.  I think it's crucial that the fans really do get behind the team at home games.

let's have a look at others teams run ins aswell...

Franchise' run in..
Southend H - Despite their good home form I can't see them getting anything
Forest A - They are poor away and Forest are a decent squad, I think they'll lose.
Brentford H - Tough game, but I think they can sneak a draw.
Gillingham H - Gillingham are terrible away from home, so I reckon they'll win.
Oldham A - Could get a draw but I think Oldham will win.
Swindon A - See above
Hartlepool H - probably a draw, could win it though.
Chesterfield A - Chesterfield seem a bit rubbish at the moment but I think they'll win this one.
Tranmere H - Draw written all over it
Rotherham A - massive game that I think Rotherham will win.

Now I think that will leave the Dons on about 43 points, which isn't enough

Walsall's run in..
Tranmere A - I think Tranmere will knick a win
Yeovil H - Win
Bradford H - draw
Blackpool A - see this one as a draw aswell.
Bristol City H - another draw
Bournemouth H - I can see them winning this one
Port Vale H - I think they can win this
Doncaster A - defeat, Doncaster seem to be doing well at the moment.
Huddersfield H - I think they'll lose this one.
Gillingham A - home win here, Gillingham are good at home.
Barnsley H - Massive game as Barnsley will be looking for promotion and I think they'll knick a win.

That will leave them on 51, which could be enough!

Rotherham's run in..
Huddersfield A - Win for Hudders
Bristol City H - I think City will win.
Doncaster A - Donny win
Tranmere H - Win
Brentford H - defeat
Swansea A - defeat
Scunthorpe H - win
Colchester A - defeat
Franchise H - win

That will leave them on around 49.

Gillingham's run in..
Bristol City A - City win, Gills are crap away from home and City are playing how they should have done ages ago.
Brentford H - Away win for Brentford, they are a very good side.
Swansea H - could knick a draw.
Franchise A - Franchise win
Huddersfield H - I think they'll draw this one.
Southend A - Home win for the champions
Bradford H - 3 points for Gills.
Yeovil A - I think it will be a close game but Yeovil will knick it
Walsall H - win
Blackpool A - Blackpool win.

That would the Pikeys on 49 points, same as Rotherham.

Blackpool's run in..
Port Vale H - draw
Bradford A - defeat
Oldham A - defeat
Walsall H - draw
Southend A - defeat
Swansea H - draw
Brentford A - defeat
Barnsley H - defeat
Scunthorpe A - draw
Gillingham H - win

This would leave the seasiders on 49 aswell!

Yeovil's run in..
Bournemouth A - draw
Walsall A - defeat
Tranmere H - win
Bristol City A - defeat
Doncaster H - defeat
Scunthorpe H - win
Forest A - defeat
Gillingham H - win
Huddersfield A - defeat
Colchester H - draw

That would leave the greenmen on 53, enough to survive.

Hartlepool's run in.
Barnsley H - defeat
Southend A - defeat
Oldham H - win
Swindon A - defeat (hopefully!)
Colchester A - defeat
Bristol H - win
Franchise A - draw
Forest H - defeat
Brentford A - defeat
Port Vale H - draw

That leaves them on 50, could be enough!

Now, last but not least...

Bournemouth's run in..
Yeovil H - draw
Barnsley A - defeat
Southend H - defeat
Scunthorpe A - defeat
Walsall A - defeat
Huddersfield H - win
Port Vale A - defeat
Colchester H - draw
Forest A - defeat
Brenford H - draw

That's mainly gone by every Bournemouth fan I've spoke to who all seem to think they are shocking and won't win a game. That leaves them on 48 which leaves them to go down.

Of course things could go completely differently, but I think that's the way things will pretty much go, give or take a few results. That would leave the final table looking like this...

16. Yeovil 53
17. Walsall 51
18. Hartlepool 50
19. Swindon 50
20. Blackpool 49
-------------------------
21. Rotherham 49
22 Gillingham 49
23. Bournemouth 48
24. Franchise 43

Very tight at the bottom, pretty much the way the season has gone. I'd love for the table to finish like that!

Colchester Away - 1-1 Draw
Chesterfield Home - 2-1 Win
Swansea Away - 0-4 Defeat
Hartlepool Home - 1-2 Defeat
Franchise Home - 2-1 Win
Scunthorpe Away - 0-3 Defeat
Brentford Home - 0-1 Defeat
Bristol City Away - 1-2 Defeat
Huddersfield Home - 1-1 Draw

That's what i'd go for, 8 points as well. Definately not enough. I'm afraid i have to join the "realist" crew. Barring something on a par with a Jesus magic trick, we are down

Brentford should be a win, looking on at the fact that we drew with them away so we have the ability to beat them if we play decent football.

I'm not going to predict any results yet, like FB said you have to take it one game at a time because anything could happen.

The two that I think will be the hardest though, would be brentford and swansea.

I'd pretty much agree with that, not sure about a win at Colchester though. I reckon we might nick a draw against Huddersfield too, the last game of the season always seems to end 0-0 or 1-1.

The futility of such exercises is shown retrospectively by the last 4 games....you'd go Rotherham...should be a home win....even more so at 2-1 up....Forest probably lose....Tranmere modest outfit mid week....should be a home win.....Yeovil could sneak a win or get at least a point....total 7 points to leave us on 45 well on the way to safety.

Outcome 1 point and a slump back into the last 2 places.

All you can say right now is that form in any way similar to the previous 37 games for the last 9 and we're down......any signs of it not being similar ?....no.   Ergo mentally prepare for the worst as the most likely outcome.
