Im pretty sure he wasnt saying this when the Glazers first took over.
Sir Alex Ferguson was pleased to give the Glazer family their first trophy since they took over Manchester United. With three members of the Glazer family witnessing victory in Cardiff, Ferguson said: "I'm delighted for them, they have put a lot of money in.
"I don't so much feel relief that we have won a trophy, more an assuredness in knowing we could win this cup.
"Any trophy you win is important and we're delighted. We've been criticised but we've never devalued this cup."

a man trying to keep his job.
and a sign of man utd's slight downturn, that they now regard the league cup as something worth winning when 5 years ago they put out a reserve team in the semi's

I think that Fergie honestly likes winning stuff. The way he celebrates, him joining in the words to the sing-a-long afterwards... he gained some respect off me yesterday.
In contrast, Benitez's reaction to Harry Kewells goal reminded me just why i hate the boring cunt. Show some fucking passion ffs!

Isn't the hoo har about them having a bad season abit over hyped. I'm sure they are actually on their highest points tally since they renamed the top flight for the same number of games played? It's just that Chelsea won't let anyone else play with their ball.

He's going to be given a lot of money to compete with Chelsea this summer, according to the press today. Might make next year's race a little more interesting.

I doubt it if the rumours of Chelsea signing Shevchenko and Ballack in the summer are true.

Ballack - £121k a WEEK!!! Fuck me that's stupid money!! Problem is it'll all be paid to an offshore account so the tax man, and our country will see none of it!

What would be the point in Chelsea signing Ballack, he's just a poor mans Lampard anyway.

If a lot of money's going to be given for team rebuilding they'd probably be better off cutting off ferguson and having a new start with a new manager. Fuck knows who though, I don't really keep track of all this top flight football stuff. Maybe they should put king in charge.
