the team's efforts ever match the fan's efforts?

1) none of them give a shite
2) most of them are just thinking about the weekend/how to spend the pay cheque
3) they know they are shite, so dont care anyway
4) they couldnt care less about the club

or all 4?!

my guess = all 4

I just posted something similiar

At the end of the day, its a job to them....and they get paid no matter what.

If they want to leave us when it all goes pear shaped, then they can just wipe their hands of us and move on, where as us fans are left in a mess they created

No team can play with so many under performing. Don't blame all of them.  How many games do you think we'll win with this line-up?

I don't think it was down to a lack of effort at all, it was down to poor defending and a non existent midfield.

Even when we were losing we were still trying to get forward and passing the ball around. It was always going to be difficult but at 2-0 down our heads just dropped and no one looked confident. If Peacocks shot that hit the bar had gone in who knows? I still reckon we played some nice passing football at time.

Give credit to Forest aswell as they were very good. Tyson and Holt are two very good strikers and they have a lot of quality. I think we played them at a very bad time tbh, if Megson was still in charge of Forest it could have been different.

Cureton and many others looked absolutely gutted at the end. I think you're all getting very carried away. Before the last two games the players have looked really up for it and have put a lot of effort in. I'm sure (well I hope anyway) that this defeat will make them more determined to make up for it.

Good, fair comments.
I said the same myself about Peacock's shot that hit the crossbar. That would have made the score 1-1 andthe game could have been a very different one.

as if O'Hanlon and Nicho were there Saturday!!!!! It was their right winger that got a hat trick of taps in, no?

Ifils fault, im sure thats why Nicho man was unmarked all the time.

Are you Andy King you seem to blame Ifil for everything?

o'hanlon is our best defender by a mile, but struggles as captain.the rest poor -average.
ifil had improved of late but is still erratic to say the least.

but Ifil has been playing better than O'Hanlon for weeks.

Our best defender is Alan Reeves, probably followed by CCP....then Ifil....
