The League Paper - Lazy Writing

Just brought it today to see what it's like.

Main story is about Ozzie looking to buy Brighton which is not a new story anyway, but they say

"Ardiles took over as manager of Spurs after Terry Venables feud with Alan Sugar. Ardiles was sacked from that one but went on to find success at Swindon and West Bromwich Albion."

Seems a decent paper etc but I wish people would research properly. It wouldn't have taken long for them to realise he was here first, then Newcastle, WBA and then Spurs.

I know it's not important but stuff like that annoys me. If you're launching a new paper put some effort into the stories etc.

Ok, that's off my chest now.

Agree 100%....sloppy journos do my head in....after all its not as if they've much to do with their time...and there are so many media available to do the research.

I bought the league paper for the first time yesterday, was expecting good things and was only mildly impressed.

The worst is mistakes in books.  I've read some Dick Mattick Town books and I'm sure there are elementray errors from just 5 years ago in there.  Somewhere I can't remeber where I read that we won 93 play-offs in extra time, a total fallacy (I think)
